feelin poetic. I once knew someone from afar,
someone I once called friend.
but slowly though, as time went on
our bond seemed weak and dead.
how could a friendship, oh so great;
go tumbling just like that?
"did I go wrong?"
"no, HE! was wrong!"
we thought, and fiercely spat.
for many months, the days went by,
we both avoided our gaze.
although we never saw eye to eye,
hoped one day we would;
again.
for long before we reached this state,
we were the best of pals.
for petty reasons, fights, and pains;
both far from each other now.
a word of advice to those who're here,
prithee, take this to heart.
please treasure your friends, or soon you'll find;
they'll easily depart.
